IT IS comedy time once again at the Lawrence Batley Theatre in Huddersfield.

Two comedians share the billing at the next comedy gig in the theatre’s cellar space on Thursday, June, 13 at 8pm.

They are Yorkshire born Tom Wrigglesworth and Andrew Ryan.

Tom became a national hero when he rescued a little old lady “from the jaws of Virgin train bureaucracy,” only to be arrested for ‘begging’.

His subsequent sell-out show, Tom Wrigglesworth’s Open Return Letter to Richard Branson, bagged him the Chortle award for Best Show 2010, and a nomination for the main Edinburgh Festival Comedy gong.

He recently clinched a deal for his own Radio 4 series, Tom Wrigglesworth’s Open Letters, tackling consumer affairs in his own hilarious way.

Tom is now established as one of the most original and talented comedians on the UK and international circuit.

He’s known for his unique way with words and is a natural raconteur.

Head for the LBT and laugh out loud at his new show Utterly at Odds with the Universe which then goes to the Edinburgh Festival.

Sharing the mic will be Andrew Ryan who is from Cork but now lives in Manchester.

Andrew started doing stand-up in 2008 and has never looked back. He is regarded as one of the most exciting emerging talents of recent years.
