THERE are perhaps few concerts more heart-warming than those offered by brass bands.
So why not ward off the winter chill by joining Carlton Main Frickley Colliery Band who will be playing at Morley Town Hall on Saturday January 26.
The band will play as part of the Leeds concert season and bring with them many world class musicians including multi-award-winning principal cornet player Kirsty Abbotts plus Toni Durrant and Arfon Owen.
The programme will feature material from the band’s recent performances at the Brass in Concert and Butlins Mineworkers Championships.
Formed in May 1884 in the village of South Elmsall, the band has won virtually every honour possible, including British and European championships.
The concert starts at 7.30pm and interval refreshments include home-made cakes.
Tickets are priced £11.50 (£9.50 concessions) from the box office on 0113 2243801 or book online at www.leedsconcertseason.com.
