  2. Admire Kay Aitch's work in Mirfield - Artist Kay Aitch's latest exhibition emphasises the connection between creativity and mental wellbeing. The event, at the Creative Arts Hub in Huddersfield Road, Mirfield, is linked to World Mental Health Day (October 10). The exhibition is open 10am-5pm and admission is free.

  3. See comedy queen Katherine Ryan in Leeds - Katherine Ryan is back in the UK for her second stand-up tour - Glam Role Model . The Canadian comedian, writer and actress has appeared on BBC One's Live At The Apollo, Let's Dance for Comic Relief, on Mock the Week, QI and more.  Described as fresh and 'pop-culture obsessed', the comic was unaffected by publicized death threats and survived the world's first crack smoking mayor. Katherine Ryan will perform at City Varieties, Leeds, tonight at 8pm - tickets cost £12.60-£15.10. Click here to book.
