St Patrick's Day is just around the corner — and revellers are gearing up for the annual parade through town centre.

Huddersfield's St Patrick's Day Parade has taken place every March since 2001, and attracts hundreds of spectators each year.

Organised by the Huddersfield St Patrick's Day Parade Association, the procession features colourful floats, live music and dancing.

This year the parade will take place on Sunday March 13 at 1pm.

The parade starts and finishes at the Irish Centre in Fitzwilliam Street and follows a 1.5 mile route around the town centre, pausing in St George's Square for music and dance performances.

The City of Limerick Pipe and Drum Band will be part of this year's parade, with 25 acts taking part in total.

The parade is supported by Kirklees Council and the government of Ireland, and costs around £16,000 to host each year, funded through grants, sponsorship and association fundraising.
