Big Peter Andre fans Sue and Suzanne Patient lived up to their surname as they queued for FIVE hours to meet their hero in Huddersfield.

Pop star and TV presenter Peter was in town to launch his new perfume and hundreds of fans turned out to meet him.

Peter made an appearance at The Perfume Shop in the Kingsgate Centre on Saturday afternoon and first in line at 9.30am was Sue, 62, who started queuing with grandsons Jack Blezzard, four, and two-year-old Ryan.

They were joined by Suzanne, 31, shortly after and Sue said: “The time passed really quickly. There was a great atmosphere.

“Ryan slept for a couple of hours and we just keep giving Jack something to eat! They were good as gold.”

Suzanne, of Golcar, who has a son Lewis, five, is a huge Peter Andre fan and first saw him in concert in Sheffield when she was 11.

Sue, of Cowlersley, said: “She had pictures of him all over her walls. She used to love him!”

Suzanne took along lots of memorabilia for Peter to sign, including a giant flag, and Sue added: “She was absolutely made up. He’s such a nice man.”

Suzanne is a big music fan and also loves Take That, Westlife and Bryan Adams.

When Adams played the then Galpharm Stadium in Huddersfield in 2006 Suzanne was invited on stage and sang a duet of When You’re Gone with the Canadian-born rocker.

Also in the queue at the Kingsgate Centre was student Hollie Timpson, 19, who said: “I just love Peter Andre. I’ve met him before and he’s such a lovely guy. How often do we get anyone famous in Huddersfield?”

Youngsters Layla Morrison, nine, and her friend Sadie Harris, 10, also got to meet the popstar.

Sadie said: “He was really nice and gave me his autograph and talked to us both.” Her mum Jennie even got an ‘air kiss’ which she was thrilled with.

The singer, best known for his 1996 hit Mysterious Girl, is also a TV presenter and last visited Huddersfield in 2014 when he gave a Newsome woman a garden makeover for TV show Surprise Surprise. He also helped launch the Daily Mirror’s Pride of Britain awards.

Peter’s perfume Breeze, aptly launched on a windy day in Huddersfield, is the sixth scent he has created.
