Organisers of a guided Halloween Ghost Walk in Huddersfield have promised a taste of horrible happenings.

The Shuddersfield Ghost Trail, starting from St. George’s Square this Sunday (1st. November) at 2.00pm will visit key sites associated with strange occurrences from notorious murders, burials following local plagues and ghostly goings on.

The walk, which has proved popular with families over the past couple of years, is expected to last up to two hours. There is a charge of £3 per person for the walk but no booking is required.

It is the last in the 2015 programme of town centre guided walks, organised by the Discover Huddersfield Partnership, which cover a number of themes including Huddersfield’s architectural heritage, social history, the Ramsden family, radical heritage, public art and Huddersfield during World War 1.

Piazza Manager, Vernon O’Reilly who chairs the group said, ‘We have been delighted by the number of people who have participated in our walk programme. Our walk leaders, who are all experts in their particular field, have revealed many aspects of our fascinating and historic town”.
