YORKSHIRE Dance, the dance agency for the Yorkshire region, is celebrating its 30th birthday this year.

And as part of its celebrations, the Leeds-based company is offering people from anywhere in the region the chance to help them to develop a brand new performance piece, Just 30!

If you are over eight years old then you can get involved.

The newly-formed, all-age company will work with acclaimed choreographer Gary Clarke, Yorkshire Dance’s new Associate Artists and a selection of its community practitioners, to develop this exciting performance piece.

If you love dance and can commit to the rehearsal and performance dates then Yorkshire Dance would love to hear from you.

Wieke Eringa, Artistic Director of Yorkshire Dance, said: “We are especially looking for individuals who have a personal connection or history with Yorkshire Dance to help us celebrate this extraordinary birthday.

“We’d be thrilled to hear from anyone with a story to tell about their relationship with the company, and we can’t wait to get all those people into the rehearsal studio together and start creating!”

Rehearsals at Yorkshire Dance will take place on Sunday October 28 and every Sunday until the performance on Friday December 7.
