IT’S likely to be one of the theatre highlights of next season so there’s little wonder that Brighouse Theatre Productions is already getting the word out.
It’s brought back producers Jayne Davison and Neil Broadbent along with musical director Mark Breen to stage one of the enduring rock operas.
And in the next few weeks there will be a chance for performers interested in being in the show to hear what’s planned and later, to audition.
Look out then for Brighouse’s production of Jesus Christ Superstar which hits the stage of Brighouse Civic Hall next spring.
The company is rightly excited to be staging the show which has some great tunes.
That’s hardly surprising since the music was written by Andrew Lloyd Webber with lyrics by Tim Rice.
Its hit songs include I Don’t Know How to Love Him, Everything’s Alright and of course Superstar.
So for anyone keen to get involved, the first date for your diary is June 18. That’s when you can meet the production team and run through some numbers with Mark, the show’s MD.
That is at Brighouse Civic Hall at 7.30pm. The venue changes when auditions are held on Sunday, July 7.
These will be held from 1.30pm at Rastrick Parish Centre, Church Street in Rastrick.
If you can’t get to the pre-audition evening on June 18 but are interested in auditioning, contact the secretary Lynn Taylor on 01484 719689 or 07784266376 or email email@example.com
