The children from Netherthong Junior and Infants School were pulling out the undergrowth to develop a nature trail round the school.

The 12-month project had been given a financial boost of £50 from the Holme Valley Parish Council and would eventually go forward to a national award commemorating the 40th anniversary of the Queen’s
coronation.
