Families flocked to Meltham Moor Primary School at the weekend for its annual autumn fair.

The event was officially opened by the winners of a Design a Pot competition based on an autumn theme.

The lucky winners were Otis McKelvey from Year 1 and Madison Walland from Year 5.

The day also featured lots of stalls, refreshments, games and a grand draw with the main prize of a luxury hamper.

The junior and infant choirs, led by Claire Middleton, provided the entertainment for parents.

The event is organised by the Parent Teachers’ Association.

It is their main fundraiser of the year as around £2,400 is usually raised.

Nicola Mason, the school’s business manager, said: “The fair was another great success.

“The school have a very hardworking team of parents and staff who work together really well to make the event the success it is.

“The children really look forward to it and the money raised is then spent on enhancing their experience at school.”
