This is an image from the scene right now tweeted by Sky News journalist Steph Oliver.

As you can see, an area has been screened off as police remain at the scene following a shooting last night.

Traffic very heavy on surrounding roads

As you can see, traffic is very slow on the sliproad and on Wakefield Road heading into Huddersfield from junction 25 for Brighouse as everyone is coming off here instead. Traffic on Halifax Road and the Elland Bypass is also very heavy. It really would be best to avoid these routes if possible.
