Here's a round-up of free events happening this Easter:

Easter Eggstravaganza at Queensgate Market

Princess Alexandra Walk, Huddersfield, Easter Saturday 10am-2pm and and Tuesday April 7, 11am-3pm.

The market is hosting a drop-in workshop 10am-2pm, with a giant Easter egg hunt around the market. There's also free balloons and facepainting.

Drop-In Family Art Days at Huddersfield Art Gallery

Free arts and crafts activities for all the the family at Huddersfield Art Gallery , 1pm-3pm. Artist-led activities aim to spark the interest of parents and children alike.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid day at Thornhil Lees Library

Brewery Lane, Thornhill Leeds, Dewsbury, Tuesday, April 7

If your kids love the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books this creative day will be right up their street. The library is planning mask making and biscuit decorating, as well as the Wimpy Kid reading challenge, 2pm-4pm. Suitable for children aged 7-12 years but all age welcome.

Family Bug Hunts

Parks in north Kirklees

Join the search for creepy crawlies this Easter! Use special magnifiers to see what lives in the park's woodland and learn more about the different creatures.

A monthly art, craft and food market, with children's workshops and entertainment. Browse antiques, try your hand at arts and crafts and enjoy delicious street food and Yorkshire produce. The event runs 10am-4pm, activities are free.

Free Junior Art Club at Globe Arts Education

Get creative at a free model making workshop inspired by the mysteries of our oceans. Youngsters can book a place at the craft workshop, running across north Kirklees, or bring a picture of their homemade creations for a competition.
