We're celebrating Huddersfield's rich pub scene by delving into the archives for these nostalgic pictures.

New pubs may open and others may close, but the memories behind the bar and stories told from the bar stools live on.

Kirklees Council's picture archive has delivered these fantastic snaps of pubs from yesteryear, in Huddersfield, Dewsbury, Mirfield and Batley.

While some pubs stay standing for decades, others reopen as completely different venues - and new pubs and ale bars spring up across town too!

We want your watering hole memories and pictures. Perhaps your local only closed a few years ago - perhaps it's still going strong!

Have you got old pictures of the pub you drank your first pint in? It might have gone from the high street, but we can add it to our gallery!

Share your pictures, with any details you have, by filling out the form below.

Alternatively, you can email them to SamanthaRobinson@trinitymirror.com or share them with us on Facebook and social media.

We'll add them to our online gallery - let's raise a glass to Huddersfield's pub history.

Many of these pictures are available to buy from the Kirklees Image Archive - for information on the collection and how to purchase images follow this link
