The incident, which took place around 11.40am, is between J26 M606 / A58 Whitehall Road / A638 Bradford Road (Chain Bar) and J25 A644 (Brighouse).
Lanes one and (of four) is blocked.

It comes after an accident early this morning, where a lorry and two cars collided on the M62 Westbound between J23 A640 / A643 (Huddersfield) and J22 A672 (Rishworth Moor), congestion on M62 to J24 A629 (Ainley Top).

Traffic now moving
The latest accident on the M62, involving a van and a car, has been cleared quickly.
It has been shifted and all four lanes westbound between J26 M606 / A58 Whitehall Road / A638 Bradford Road (Chain Bar) and J25 A644 (Brighouse) have no re-opened.
It means traffic is still queuing back to junction 27 but the main carriageway is moving once again.

Lorry and 2 cars crash
A lorry and two cars were involved in an accident on the M62 westbound at around 7am this morning.
We’ve not been told of any serious injury caused.
The incident took place near to the farm, between J23 A640 / A643 (Huddersfield) and J22 A672 (Rishworth Moor).
Lanes one and two (of three) were closed and the traffic was being temporarily so that the vehicles involved could move off safely.
Queues and congestion was back to to J25 A644 (Brighouse) at the height of the lane closures.
Two lanes were closed but were re-opened at around 8am.
Traffic cameras show the motorway is moving once again.
Travel time update
We’re being told by Highways that travel time is around 25 minutes.
The M62 is now fully re-open and I can see on the traffic cameras that it’s beginning to move around Junction 25 too.
Delays on local roads
Traffic avoiding the M62 has made local roads busy.
We’re hearing New Hey Road over Outlane is busy, plus it’s slow on the A640 Huddersfield Road, Saddleworth, heading from Dowry Reservoir to Denshaw due to extra traffic avoiding the M62 crash.
Delays at Ainley Top
Traffic is now beginning to move around the accident site, but there are still long delays.
Here’s the scene at Junction 25 - the Ainley Top slip is clear but traffic is slow on the main carriageway.
Lanes now re-open
All lanes on the M62 have re-opened now following the earlier collision westbound between J23 and J22.
Traffic flowing however there are severe residual delays behind with congestion extending back to J25.

Highways are telling us that travel time is over an hour westbound on the M62 after the earlier accident between Junctions 22 and 23.
