Controversial referee Eddie Ilderton will back at Huddersfield Town on Saturday.
But home fans frustrated by the Tyne and Wear whistler’s recent performance against Middlesbrough can breathe a sigh of relief.
Ilderton, booed off at both half and full-time, will be the fourth official against Bristol City, with the match will be taken by Jeremy Simpson.
The Lancashire official refereed Town’s Capital One Cup first-round clash with Notts County at the John Smith’s Stadium earlier in the season.
Simpson last took Bristol City against Scunthorpe United at Glanford Park in League I last January.
Mark Brown, from East Yorkshire, will be in the middle for Rotherham United’s visit to Town on Tuesday.
